Christy Johnson
Age, Hometown & Lowdown: 27, originally from Louisiana, moved with her family about 15 years ago to Modesto, CA. Plays keytar and sings lead vocals.
Interesting Facts: From about age 18 Christy has been involved in several worship bands and girl groups. She is the sister of Micah and wife of Calvary Temple’s youth pastor, Jeremy Johnson. She and Jeremy have been married for 3 years. Christy previously attended nursing school at Azusa Pac in California and ORU in Tulsa. When Christy is not singing, she enjoys mentoring young girls, writing music, snowboarding, cooking, decorating and fashion.
Micah Berteau
Age, Hometown & Lowdown: 22, Also from Louisiana but grew up in Modesto, CA. Guitar and vocals.
Interesting Facts: Micah is the brother of lead singer Christy Johnson. He recently attended Evangel University in Missouri on a football scholarship. A few things that he is most passionate about include: ministry, family, friends and writing music. Currently Micah takes courses online, major: Marketing, so he can serve in Modesto as Calvary Temple’s Outreach Director. If Micah were to give advice to any 15-year-old it would be to “go full out for God and watch what He will do. Age is not an issue to God, so open your life completely to Him.” Micah also enjoys playing and watching sports, snowboarding and wakeboarding.
Sean Loche
Age, Hometown & Lowdown: 21, born and raised in Modesto, CA. Bass guitar and sings lead vocals.
Interesting Facts: Sean, brought up in a Lutheran Church, is now a member at Calvary Temple. Since high school Sean has felt called to lead worship. After finishing high school he enrolled at NWU, but before finishing college returned to Calvary Temple as the church’s worship and arts director. Sean recently got married to his girlfriend Whitney in June of 2007. When asked what makes him tick, Sean responded “seeing God change the lives of students and knowing that the Lord let him be a part of it.”
Josh O’Haire
Age, Hometown & Lowdown: 20, raised in Modesto, CA. Percussion.
Interesting Facts: Josh has attended Calvary Temple his entire life and now serves as the graphic designer and media director for Calvary’s youth ministry, “The Stadium.” He was introduced to the band after joining the church’s worship band class. Sean was also enrolled in the class at the time. What Josh loves most about what he does is just that, making music because music is his ministry. Besides playing the drums, Josh also enjoys graphic design, spending time with his girlfriend, culture, art and sports.
Nathan Parish Age, Hometown & Lowdown: 27, born in Stockton, CA. Guitarist.
Interesting Facts: Nathan began playing the guitar when he was about 18 and it’s been his passion ever since. After graduating from a Jr. College in California with a Liberal Arts degree, Nathan ended up in Modesto. He began attending Calvary Temple after accepting a music internship position which turned into an internship opportunity with Calvary Temple’s youth group. At Calvary, Nathan met the other members of a worship band, suggested the name Worth Dying For and the rest is history. He also enjoys designing clothes, spending time with his girlfriend, and cokes from McDonalds.
